Barclays Smart Investor closing info does not use the same valuations - Last dealt prices instead of bid prices and a 6 page printout instead of 1. This will affect entries here. It also means the closing "value" may be over or under stated substantially. |

In the case of investments etc. I suggest you research the companies for yourself and don't follow blindly. I certainly don't so you should not either. Why some still don't have a web page at least is a mystery! Could be an anti dotcom reaction I guess! A basic site is relatively straightforward.

Have you had SPAM E.mail or unsolicited phonecalls from various places from people who seem to know a lot about your share interests? If so, then you are in the sights of "Boiler Room" Scam traders. It is nigh on impossible to recognise a "good guy" in this situation, so is possible to miss a recovery chance. |

Investments in company shares are a risky business. Shares can go down in value as well as up, as Tony Blair should know! Why he and Clinton pushed the Tech boom so far is a mystery. Politics I guess! One thought too, You buy shares at your OWN risk! Any research you follow is only as good as the data the researcher had been able to find. Why the Yanks are taking court action over such advice is beyond me! At least there has been a glimmer of sense in the recent "tobacco compensation" decision. |
