Contrails NOT "Chemtrails". |
This page has been set up to comment on the false claim that airliners are spraying us.

Note she insists on saying "spray", when no such is being done, other than exhaust gases. Most of the condensation is of vapour already present, not from the engines. Duration depends on local conditions. |
Jacqueline Gasparini Gonzalez ...that's nice. Most of the "condensation" they spray here in the midwest does not quickly disappear. |
The only material is exhaust gases as I have repeatedly said. |
Actually since I have no idea (and neither do you) what is being sprayed so it does not matter to me whether what they spray last 4 minutes in the sky or 4 hours. Also I am guessing that most parts of the world are getting sprayed.
The amount of light reduction is not serious, being mostly an aesthetic effect only. |
ALSO YES, lets stop flying until we figure out how to stop airplanes from causing "condensation" that turns a beautiful clear blue sky into a murky blue gray coverage that eventually covers the sun (light). |
See below. |
Why are climate change activists not up-in-arms about this!!!! |
Civilian aircraft currently emit about 2 percent of anthropogenic CO2 and, once the effects of contrails are included, cause 5 percent of warming. But there is a key difference. While CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere and has a long-lasting effect, contrails last a matter of hours at most, and their warming impact is temporary. |
SHE is the one not using common sense saying stuff is being sprayed and then makes stupid comments like that! |
Of course you, instead of using your common sense believe in santa claus and the tooth fairy. . . . . god help us. |
What happens next depends on how dry or how humid the air is. If the air is very dry, the ice crystals will sublime (change phase directly from solid to gas) and become invisible. If the air is humid, the water droplets or ice crystals will stay where they are, often spreading out, leaving a fluffy trail where the aircraft has passed. Trails may last for many hours leaving the sky criss-crossed with lines, and mixing with cirrus cloud. |

Contrails, like the natural cirrus clouds, generally warm the earth. Persistent contrails increase this warming effect over time. The highest percentages of cover occur in regions with the highest volume of air traffic, namely over Europe and the United States.18 Jun 2021 |

Which part of the atmosphere are contrails most likely to appear? |
Exhaust contrails usually form at high altitudes; usually above 8,000 m (26,000 ft), where the air temperature is below -36.5 °C (-34 °F). They can also form closer to the ground when the air is cold and moist. |
Are contrails more common in winter? |
Jet contrails are usually produced at altitudes greater than five miles. However, if conditions during the Winter are extremely cold, they can be produced at lower altitudes. Temperatures must be colder than -40° Fahrenheit, which isn't that uncommon, even in Summer months.14 Aug 2018 |
At what altitude do contrails happen? |
About 26,000 ft Contrails are human-induced clouds that only form at very high altitudes (usually above 8 km - about 26,000 ft) where the air is extremely cold (less than -40°C). Because of this contrails form not when an airplane is taking off or landing, but while it is at cruise altitude.3 Jun 2020 |
Why are there no contrails? |
Image result for where are the most contrails Not all aircraft produce contrails they are estimated to occur in about 18% of flights. The air needs to be cool enough for the water to freeze, which is why they usually only appear above certain altitudes typically 20,000ft (6km) Even fewer flights produce the most persistent contrails.24 Aug 2022 |
Why are contrails bad for the environment? |
The ice particles in contrails do not reach the Earth's surface because they fall slowly and conditions in the lower atmosphere cause ice particles to evaporate. Contrail cloudiness might contribute to human-induced climate change. Climate change may have important impacts on public health and environmental protection. |
Why do contrails cause global warming? |
They trap and absorb outgoing heat which otherwise escapes into space. This worsens at night when it is colder and the contrail has a longer lifetime.22 Oct 2021 |
Do contrails contribute to climate change? |
Contrails account for roughly 2% of global warming because they cause cirrus clouds to trap outgoing infrared radiation.18 May 2021 |
Are contrails harmful? |
Are they dangerous to humans? Absolutely not. This question is often asked based on the misunderstanding of the so-called 'chemtrails' which presumably represent trails consisting of harmful chemicals. Contrails are a type of cirrus clouds consisting of predominantly ice particles.18 Jun 2021 |

Chemtrails do not exist! The screen on my camera was broken, so I was unable to see and correct the date setting. The photos were all taken in February 2019. |

Note the fragmentary nature of the two recent contrails below. This reflects different atmospheric conditions, which are also apparent in the discontinuous nature of clouds. |

To suggest, as the guy in the image does, that this is a real photo is totally barmy. There is no way such undisturbed tiny trails could exist. IT'S A PHOTOSHOP! |
ATP BUNKUM |
There are no examples of REAL photos showing such trails starting at the engine cowling. They ALL form some distance behind the engine. This is simply because they are condensing and freezing water vapour! |

Fragments of trails can be seen on the image below, again showing different zones in the atmosphere. |

To suggest, as Sponheim does that this effect is caused "by turning spraying off and on" is totally implausible. Different planes cannot possibly synchronise in that way. Trails are initially continuous, but disperse, leaving visible fragments.
