History |
When I first invested with ABE they were a "Penny Share" stock. The company had several divisions, most of which are now divested as the company has chosen to concentrate on the most profitable element, i.e. British Polar Engines. The company has also restructured and consolidated the shares to £2.00 ordinary shares, hence the much higher shareprice today. Anyone with old certificates should check with the registrar. After an initial pause and a rights issue the stock moved ahead. |

Last year |
I commented that I suspected a deal. It came on Dec. 14th when Kelvin Diesels was bought and is now successfully integrated. Also on March 14th 2001 the Havant site was sold, assisting in raising net cash resources to £1,991,000 at year end. Loss before taxation amounted to £156,000 (£3,335,000 in 2000) |

Current Position |
The board is reviewing opportunities, but is careful in the current economic climate about the type of business in which we wish to become involved. |
